Known as Tia in the True Speech, angels are the immortal
servants of the Anthara. Each is created from a fragment of the
flesh and soul of a god, imbued with new life, then tasked with the servitude of
his or her creator’s duties. Birthing new angels is both painful and
diminishing; it saps creative power from a god similar to the act of bringing
forth an entire new race. There are few of them for this reason.
Soul Guides are often referred to as Death’s Angels, but however they
are chosen, they are not like the angels of the gods.
