Herbivory incarnate is goddess of vegetarianism, the kitchen, and cooking.
Before her birth, no living creature needed to eat or drink; this monumental
change in all living creatures was at first met with outrage, and for decades a
horrible, unfulfilled hunger plagued all living things. Yet when the gods first
tasted of Herbivory’s cooking of the plants in her mother’s garden, all was
forgiven; she has been Fatherhood’s royal chef ever since. Though
she is the antithesis and rival of her younger half-sister
Carnivory, Herbivory has adapted to the hunger for flesh among the
gods. Legends hold that the two sisters hold contests to bring food to mortals’
doorsteps in times of famine. Born to Motherhood via an affair
with Bliss, she bore Gluttony for Avarice.
Herbivory is strongly associated with the warmth of Sun and the summer
solstice.
