Brak is a large, populous, and mountainous island to the southwest of
Dinre. It was once settled by tribes of the ancient Athi, but
the skin of its peoples has darkened over the millennia apart from their
cousins. The Brakish tongue of the island has diverged from
Athin beyond recognizability, and its insular cultural practices bear
little resemblance to the maritime commerce of the north.
