Nis Daksi is the City of Arrows, an island city-state near the coast of
Ro Dara. Founded one millennium ago by King Alric,
son of Violence incarnate, Nis Daksi is today an intensely
stratified pirate republic, renowned and hated for the quality of its
aristocratic Corsairs—all of whom believe themselves to be descended from Alric.
Violence remains the city’s most venerated god, and is called “the God” by its
denizens. The city is built atop a mountain with five tiers, each its own
district that can be reached by a long, narrow staircase.
