Ro Tenra, or the “Foot Island,” is the southeastern island of Dinre
and the second-largest island after Ro Dara. Although once settled
by the Athi, it has since been conquered by explorers from
Tertaskra, whose language and customs have supplanted that of the
natives. The island is large around the coast, but inland it is really more like
a band of beach that surrounds an enormous freshwater lake.
