Named for Asyr, the Domain of Air, and ren, “music,” the Asyrena were the
first of the Three Races: beings to sing in the skies. These
matriarchal avian humanoids would sing enchanted songs taught to them by
Music herself. Physically, the Asyrena stand upright and have feathers
across their bodies. Each has large, winged arms with dexterous hands and a
beakless head. Their narrow and saw-toothed jaws are capable of human speech,
though they have their own languages and customs. They are hatched from eggs and
capable of flight, but their bodies are physically weak and vulnerable to
violence, and they struggle to walk on land.
