The gods, known as Ina in the True Speech, are the corporeal
deities of Elthyra. Categorized into two pantheons and three
generations based on timing of birth, the first of the gods emerged from the
stew of the Domains at the dawn of the
Age of Creation.
Ageless and immortal, each god or goddess incarnates a facet of sapience that
does not exist without him. His mere existence imbues this quality into all
living creatures, including other gods, though not all races and gods possess
the capacity for all qualities in equal measure. The gods do not represent
senses or physical qualities, like arms and legs, or physical abilities, like
running and walking. Gods possess Divine Aspects, and can be
said to be “of” certain things, but they are not the gods “of” their
namesakes: they are their namesake. The existence of a god unlocks that
capacity, that thought, that idea or emotion; it does not exist without him. The
two are inseparable.
All gods possess incredible divine powers. They also speak the Aith Elthrenyn
natively, and thus are capable of binding the Domains.
