Sleep incarnate is goddess of dreams and nightmares and queen of the
Unwaking World. She is always asleep and always awake. Sleep
is the daughter of Language and Memory, sister of
Wisdom, Curiosity, and Comedy; it was with
her half-brother Comedy that she carried out a brief affair, and for him she
bore the twins of Disgust and Boredom: the consequences
of when Comedy and Sleep meet.
