Once known as the Slain God, Death incarnate, called Cirph in the
True Speech, now rules the Silent Kingdom with Time as
his queen. Though he did not choose the punishment of Death for
Elthyra, he accepts it as his duty to ferry the souls of mortals
from the Dying Lands to his own realm, where he rewards or
punishes them according to their virtue. Death is believed to sail a phantom
barge filled with the souls collected by his Soul Guides from across the world,
which he ferries to the Silent Kingdom. He is the father of Plague,
Randomness, Decay, and Amnesia. Death’s
service to mortals is understood by all, and his sacrifice is honored across the
world. His family are reviled, but he is beloved.
