The Soul Pantheon is the amalgamation of the Anthara that
resides in every sentient creature, but especially within the
Three Races. All living things with a capacity to think and feel
possess a Soul Pantheon: it is their ability to feel each god in different
amounts at different times. All gods exist within the Soul Pantheons of all
living beings, but most are more numb to certain gods than others, and tend to
feel their creators more keenly than the rest. Animals, for instance, lack
sufficient Wisdom to make use of Language’s gifts, but
many are capable of some form of communication.
The Three Races were designed, like the gods, to have Soul Pantheons balanced
with every god in equal measure. It is through the Soul Pantheon that the gods
put themselves into their creations. When a mortal prays, it is through the Soul
Pantheon that a god can reply—through his own, or through that of another
nearby.
